The bank commenced operations in the city of London in September 1983 as a branch of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc. In February, 2005 it transformed into a full fledged subsidiary of Union Bank. The incorporation of the UK subsidiary has strategically positioned the bank to offer banking services to its teeming customers as well as correspondent services to its parent company, Nigerian banks and other international banks world wide. The management team is led by Dr.Kaonen Adekola Ali (Managing Director/Chief Executive).
