
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide analysis and delivering insights that links the financial reports to business strategies for all the business segments.
• Initiating change that will ensure the delivery of key operational and financial targets.
• To produce regular and adhoc Financial and non-financial reports to the assigned business and provide explanations of key variances.
• Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with the leadership of all the business and non-business functions in the bank.
• Supporting and influencing key operational and strategic decisions in the business units and the bank.
• Prepare and render monthly performance reports with insights and analysis to the various business units to aid strategic planning and decision-making.
• Assist in the budgeting activity process by coordinating and aligning the cost and revenue inputs into the budget tool.
• Develop strategies from the monthly performance to assist business in driving revenue and reducing cost.
• Monitor and support the follow through of action points and strategies from the monthly and quarterly performance meetings.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Head, Finance Business Management and Corporate Planning
Key Performance Indicators:
- Effective Planning and Coordination of Monthly & Quarterly performance review sessions of the Bank and functions.
- Timely rendition of all relevant reports to support the business functions.
- Good relationship with business heads and all other members of the assigned units
- Completion of budget in line with the bank’s timetable.
- Minimum education level – First degree with a Minimum of Second (2nd) Class Lower (Accounting/ Finance/ Economics and any other relevant finance courses).
- Professional qualification in accounting (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA etc) will be an added advantage
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Financial Control or Performance Management unit of a bank or financial institution.
- Good knowledge of Performance Management techniques
- Strong Knowledge of Operations in Nigerian Banks
- Good knowledge of Planning and control functions
- Deep knowledge of Financial Projections and trend analytics
- Deep understanding of Bank’s Budget preparation process
- Knowledge of Micro and Macroeconomics analysis
