How to apply/request a debit card

Visit any of our branches nationwide to get a card issued to you instantly.

Requesting a card through *826#

  • Dial *826*21# on mobile number linked to your account
  • Reply with 1 to select card request
  • Reply with 1 to select Verve card OR reply with 2 to select Mastercard
  • Reply with the number corresponding to the account you want to link the card with
  • Input your transaction PIN
  • Click send

Requesting a Card through UnionOnline

  • Log in to the UnionOnline platform
  • Click on the Cards Menu
  • Click Request a new debit card
  • Select Account number
  • Details are populated
  • Choose a Card type (Verve or MasterCard)
  • Select “Through a branch” as pick up option.
  • Select a preferred branch
  • Input your security word and Token
  • Submit
    • Log in to the Union Mobile app
    • Select “Retrieve Card PIN” from the menu
    • Enter the last 4 digits on your card
    • Enter your UnionMobile PIN
    • Select SMS code
    • Enter the SMS code sent to your phone and select “Continue”
    • If you have a Hard token, select the Hard token option
    • Enter the code displayed on your hard token and click on ‘continue’

Pin retrieval on UnionMobile

  • Log in to the Union Mobile app
  • Select “Retrieve Card PIN” from the menu
  • Enter the last 4 digits on your card
  • Enter your UnionMobile PIN
  • Select SMS code
  • Enter the SMS code sent to your phone and select “Continue”
  • If you have a Hard token, select the Hard token option
  • Enter the code displayed on your hard token and click on ‘continue’

A default PIN will be displayed. To activate your card, you can change this PIN to any 4-digit PIN of your choice at any Union Bank ATM.

What to do at the ATM:

  • Insert your debit card
  • Select “Enter PIN” and input the 4-digit PIN retrieved from the mobile app
  • Select “PIN change”
  • Input your preferred 4-digit PIN and reconfirm
  • Select “Continue”
  • Success message displayed “PIN change successful”

If you forget your card PIN, you can also retrieve it via the UnionMobile app using the process stated above.

Every time you use your card online, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP). Some websites may not ask for validation using OTP. In such cases, your card transactions will only be allowed if you accept our terms and conditions around using your card for online transactions.
