Union Bank Celebrates World Entrepreneurs’ Day with Exclusive SME Sales Fair at Stallion Plaza

In celebration of World Entrepreneurs’ Day, our SME Banking Team transformed our Lagos Head Office, Stallion Plaza, into a bustling marketplace for our annual Sales Fair.

The event brought together SME brands across fashion, skincare, makeup, footwear, accessories, processed foods, and lifestyle products, giving emerging business owners a high-visibility platform to showcase their offerings to busy corporate professionals.

Designed to go beyond conventional financial services, the Sales Fair provided vendor partners with a direct marketplace to connect with new customers, boost sales, and strengthen their ongoing partnership with the bank.  At the same time, it gave #TeamUnion a seamless way to discover, shop, and support incredible entrepreneurs within our SME ecosystem during their busy workday.

The event drew active participation from senior bank leadership, highlighting Union Bank’s top-level engagement with the small business segment. In attendance were the Executive Director, Corporate Bank & Business Banking Lagos & South West, Taiwo Shote, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer, Olufunmi Aluko, Head of SME Business, Gloria Omeronye, and Head of SME Segment, Ayokunnumi Abraham alongside other senior executives and staff memberes who toured the exhibition booths, engaged with vendors, and supported the vendors through purchases.

This initiative reflects Union Bank’s strategic dedication to creating tangible opportunities for SME customer acquisition, market visibility, and sustainable growth. By continually offering platforms that bridge the gap between local enterprise and market access, Union Bank remains a committed partner in expanding Nigeria’s entrepreneurial landscape.
