Following the acquisition of majority shareholding in Union Bank of Nigeria Plc (“Union Bank”) by Titan Trust Bank Limited (“TTB”), the process of integrating the operations of the two banks into one entity is now being concluded. Effective September 1, 2025, the combined entities will now operate as Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.

What does the integration between Union Bank and Titan Trust Bank mean for me as a customer?
The integration means that both banks are becoming one financial institution. You will benefit from expanded branch networks, enhanced digital platforms, more innovative products, and improved customer service.
What will be the name of the bank after the integration?
The name of the bank after integration will be Union Bank of Nigeria. While Titan Trust Bank is being integrated, the unified institution retains the Union Bank’s name.
Do I need to open a new account with the merged bank?
No. Your existing account number(s) remain the same. You do not need to open a new account or make any changes unless you wish to. We will notify you ahead of time if any changes or upgrades to your account will be introduced.

 

Will I be able to access my Titan account at any Union Bank branch, and vice versa?
Yes, you will be able to access your Titan accounts at all our Union Bank Branches and vice versa.
Will my account officer remain the same?
Yes, your account officer will remain the same.
Will my debit card, cheque book, and account details still work?
Yes. Your ATM/Debit card, cheque book, mobile app, internet banking login, and account details remain valid. You can continue to use them without interruption.
Can I use my Titan card at Union Bank ATMs, and will there be any charges?
Yes, you can use your Titan card at any of our Union Bank ATMs, and vice versa without any additional charges.
What will happen to Union Bank and Titan Trust Bank branches?
All Titan Trust Bank branches will be renamed and branded to Union Bank and will continue to serve both customers.
Will there be any change to the mobile banking app and internet banking platforms?
For now, you should continue using your existing UnionMobile App, UnionOnline, or Titan Trust digital banking platform. We will notify you ahead of time if any changes or upgrades are introduced.
How does the integration affect the safety of my deposits and loans?
Your funds are completely safe and secure. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulates and supervises this integration process to protect all customers.

All loans remain valid under the agreed terms. Your relationship with the bank (Union Bank or Titan Trust Bank) does not change; you are fully protected.

Will fees and charges on my account change?
No immediate changes. Any updates to fees, charges, or service conditions will be communicated to you well in advance.

When will the integration be completed?
The integration process will be completed on August 31, 2025, and by September 1, 2025, all branches of Titan Trust will be recognised as Union Bank branches.
