What do I need to apply for a credit card?

  • A duly completed application form
  • The requisite documents (Payslips, collateral form etc.)

Submit completed application form and documents to your Relationship Manager. You will receive an SMS once your credit card request is approved. You card will be ready within 5 – 7 working days.

How do I activate my card?

  • You can reach out to your Relationship Manager who will ensure that your card is activated. Once your card is active, please set your preferred pin on an ATM.
  • You can also call our 24/7 Contact Center on 07007007000 to activate your card. Once your card is active, please set your preferred pin on an ATM.

Will I be charged interest on my card limit?

No, interest will be charged only on your outstanding balance.

In what currency are the credit cards issued and are they acceptable globally?

Union Bank credit cards are Naira denominated and can be used both locally and internationally.

How secure is my card from cyber fraud?

To protect you, your card is enabled with a 2nd level authentication for online transactions. You will receive an OTP for online transactions.

Can I get a weekly statement of account to help monitor my expenses?

A statement of account will be sent monthly basis. Off-cycle statements can be obtained based on request.
