I don’t have a registered company, does this still apply to me?

The proposition is for registered businesses only. If your business is not yet registered, we can refer you to our partners who can help you register your company.

Will Union Bank help me get funding?

Yes, we offer debt funding and we provide access to Venture Capital funding.

What documents do I need to open an account?

For Corporate Account:

  • Two passport photographs of the company signatories
  • Two references from current account holders
  • Valid Identification (Driver’s license, International passport, National Identity card, Permanent voter’s card) as well as BVN of account signatories.
  • Board resolution authorizing the opening of the account
  • Certified true copy of memorandum and articles of association
  • Certified true copy of particulars of Directors (Form CAC7)

For Sole Proprietorship:

  • Two passport photographs of the company signatories
  • Two references from current account holders
  • Valid Identification (Driver’s license, International passport, National Identity card, Permanent voter’s card)
  • Copy of application form for registration of business name
  • Copy of Certificate of registration of business name

For Partnership:

  • Two passport photographs of the company signatories
  • Two references from current account holders
  • Valid Identification (Driver’s license, International passport, National Identity card, Permanent voter’s card
  • Copy of partnership deed (notarized)
  • Copy of certificate of registration
  • Partnership resolution authorizing opening of the account and nominating signatories to the account
  • Proof of company address (i.e. Utility bills)
